He followed the scent of his pray right up until the tree. He was made of a light weight metal that kept a durability stronger then titanium so he could wade through higher water and still be protected, but it was heavy enough to make like climbing and swimming were still made difficult. He pulled out his laser pistol. He was tired of this. Most bounties he went after normally fought against him and they would lose. If they did run then it was normally a really short chase. No one has given him this much trouble in the past. He he ran keeping up now a little under her he aimed his weapon. "Stop running girly. Your keeper never said anything about unharmed." He then made his point by firing not trying to actually hit her but trying to get close.

"Ahhhhhhh!"
Aeild felt the branch beneath her feet crack with a hit from the laser and she tumbled down through the foliage.
Her own hair caught her feom hitting the ground in the nick of time, wrapped up in a branch only feet above the jungle floor. It hurt intensely and she was hanging helpless before her attacker. Aeild was bruised and bleeding from cut broken branches in some places, senses literally high strung and taught as a wire.
Luckily her death grip on her own laser pistol was intact and she raised it up at Verk's chest. Her voice was shaking, had she eyes she would have cried but the rain falling on her face still provided the illusion. "Please don't make me shoot you, I just want to go home!"

Verks own gun was up and his tighter grip and steady hands gave him a better aim. He could feel the rain coming down hitting the top of his head from the opening in the trees but he didn't let it bother him. He stopped about a yard away from her and could see the imitation tears streaming down her face, the pain in her voice making the illusion all the more real. "I can't let you do that. You see, this is my job. I'm a bounty hunter and I'm out of money. I also have a record to keep. I have a one hundred percent capture record only killing those worth more or only wanted dead." His mood had changed from earlier. He sounded a little more sympathetic then how he originally felt and he averted his eyes from her but only a second. His eyes at least the human one returned to a harder look though his voice didn't change much in it's softness to his clearly defeated pray. "You also have made this more trouble then it's worth. A lot more trouble then it's worth." Even with his harsh wards and his threatening pose he did something completely unexpected and unexplainable even to him. He lowered his firearm. He still held it in both hands but it was now pointed at the ground.
"Look at me. A trained soldier and war hero and you gave me trouble like no one ever has before." He put his gun away fully in it's holster and held up both his hands. From his ship in low orbit Verk started to receive data on Aeild and he could read it via his robotic eye. "My report says your name is Aeild and you are a Rimmildet't." He took one step forward after saying this ready to dodge a shot if she did fire at him and it would hit. "You have no military background or training." He took another step still ready to duck any shots. "Am I right?" He stood still asking her to confirm with his hands still up to the clearly defeated alien girl in front of him.

The bountyhunter's growing openess surprised Aeild and though she still wasn't going to drop her guard it gave her slight hope. "Y-yes, that's my name. And I'm no soldier."
Then desperation struck. She let out a strangled sob as she threw the laser pistol unused at Verk'ton and drew out the wammi from her sleeve. "And I won't kill like one." Aeild was shaking, flashing back to the day her ship was taken, when her fiancee had died screaming with the smell of burning hair and she was ripped away by slave traders.
Aeild held the long razor up to the rainbow of her own hair. "I've got a family, I had a life... I'm more desperate than any real criminal. I've done nothing to deserve this!"
"let's be honest, the only thing that gives me worth is this damned hair..."
This was a greater struggle than anyone could realize. A rimmildet't would be essentially blind, deaf, and helpless if their hair was shorn off short in large portions. This was a treatment worse than death, this would be a tortured suicide.

"No wait!" He called out and shot his hand forward trying to stop her. "I don't know if you can go back to your home but I might know a way that you can be at least some what free and I can keep my record. Please just don't do that to yourself." His hand went for his gun ready to shoot the knife out of her hand. "If you promise not to run and here me out I'll shoot you down and we can talk about this." He slowly started to pull his gun out. Not in a sneaky way but just in a slow nonthreatening way.

"I-I can't go back. I can't go back..." Aeild was tired, after a pause she lowered her arms but couldn't bring herself to drop the knife. "I won't run anymore. Please." She couldn't bring herself to fight anymore, body going slack. Pain was beginning to threaten the edges of her consciousness.

"You wont have to run any more." He sad and pulled his gun. He fired at the branch a few times weakening where it connects to the trunk of the mighty tree and close where she was hanging by. I bowed a little do to her weight and all she needed to so was bounce a little and the branch would brake apart and send her to the ground. He put his gun away and walked forward to catch her. It may seem like he was being overly trusting but he still had control of the situation. If it looked like even for a second she would be trying to fall on top of him with the knife to kill him he would grab her by the arm and swing her to the ground faster then she could react with enough force to brake bones.

A jump in the air and Aeild fell into the arms of the captor she had sworn would never take her alive with a small sqweak. The knife still clutched in her lap clattered to the jungle floor a second later. The excruciating pain of hanging was gone and her hair began to detangle itself. It was a considerable improvement, and if she were honest it was a comfort to be held.
"You caught me?"

"Why wouldn't I? Even if you are my bounty unless your scum I don't want you hurt." He said and put her down and stepped back. "Like I said I can't just let you go free but their might be a way where I can make it so you never have to go back to that crazy zoo keeper ever again but at the same time you will just be another captive. Granted a well kept and mostly free but still a captive." He told her compassion still in his eyes and his voice. The rain that was falling started to already clear up and the sun light that filtered threw the trees made the droplets of matter that clung to the leaves sparkle. He kept his hand on his gun not fully trusting her even though she just now had a chance to attack him and even run away.

"What kind of captive? Who would be my keeper then?" Though Aeild was running out of options she was still wary to accept this offer of half freedom. Either way she could never be free, but how was she to know that one slaver would be better than the next?
And this cyborg, a man she has never met outside of battle could not be fully trusted either though she could sense the compassion that resounded in his voice. She did however think herself lucky to be chased by Verk'ton, Aeild doubted whether other hunters would be so reluctant to kill or so eager to help. The sun was brightening her outlook, but what if it was a fatal oversight? "How can I trust what you say?"
